Overview

In Pakistan approximately one in four adults have diabetes. Health-care-providers, have a pivotal role in guiding people with diabetes about ways for living a healthy life with diabetes. Provision of sound and implementable guidance could maximize compliance and benefit from compliance.

This course provides a concise overview of recent international recommendations for dietary management of diabetes, as well as of emerging trends and local beliefs about management of diabetes and suggests methods for safe integration of both for personalized and effective diabetes care.

This course is useful for dietitians, nutritionists, other health care professionals and graduates of relevant subject who are interested in learning about user friendly, smart and evidence-based dietary guidance for diabetes in Pakistan

Objectives

After completing this course the participants are expected to be able to:

  1. Outline Evidence based recommendation for prevention and management of diabetes.
  2. Enlist and sue the facilitators for translating recommendations into individualized nutrition care plan
  3. Identifying and resolving  hindrances in the adoption of evidence based recommendations.

Fee payment

Fees should be submitted   into MCB account no:  0539242631004834 by bank transfer. Evidence needs to be uploaded with registration form.

Certificate:

Certificates will be awarded by NFP signed by the course faculty. Online attendance and responses will be required for getting the certificate.

Details of online sessions

Online sessions will be arranged via Zoom. Intermittent online responses by the participants will be required. Recorded session may be shared with registrants if they miss part of the session. Handouts will be shared with all the registrants after the sessions.
