Job opportunity for experienced Clinical Nutritionist
Assistant Manager (Nutrition)
Aga Khan University Hospital invites applications for the position of Assistant Manager (Nutrition).
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Nutrition and Food Services, you will be responsible for the management of nutrition care services including a liaison between Clinical Nutrition staff as well as medical, clinical and service-oriented departments. You will Manage resources and monitor achievement of the nutrition section, including:
- ensuring compliance with the quality standards as per JCIA & ISO 22000:2005 and supervising departmental audits.;
- monitoring timely nutrition assessments within 24 hours of patient admission;
- assisting & providing continuous on job trainings to clinical nutrition staff;
- evaluating staff competencies, developing trainings and structures in line with departmental policies;
- developing and implementing Clinical Nutrition Traineeship Programme;
- overseeing and implementing effective nutritional research activities in the department;
- co-ordinating with Nursing Management and monitor patient complaints, and take immediate corrective & preventive action in consultation with senior management.
Requirements
- S in Home Economics or MSc. in Home Economics, M.Sc. (Hons) degree in human nutrition preferably registered with Pakistan Nutrition and Dietetic Society (PNDS).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certified.
- 8-9 years of hospital nutrition management experience.
- Good knowledge of age and disease-specific complications. Total enteral nutrition & parenteral nutrition.
- Ability to handle stressful work environments and problem resolving abilities.
- Ability to develop & and monitor clinical nutrition care credentialing & competency criteria to handle clinical nutrition care.
- Leadership skills and well developed written and verbal skills.
